Adriana Moretti
Originally from Glasgow, Scotland I moved to New York, which is now home, in 1999.
My artistic background goes back to the 19th century with my great great great uncle Albert Moore the Pre-Raphaelite painter whose paintings are being enjoyed in art galleries around the world.
I followed my uncle's footsteps by majoring in Art at school. Ceramics is just one of the artistic mediums I use. I see the clay as my partner in that I have a vision in mind and as I work the clay will take me to a different place. I create a product that comes from my mind, hands, nature and many other elements so the end product is truly unique.
My aim is to create work that you would never see mass produced in stores.
All my work is hand built using high fire glazes, which means they are more durable and the colours never fade.
